Earlier this year, I stumbled across a few pictures online of, what looked like, four abandoned satellite dishes.
After a bit of research, I found out that they were based in Lincolnshire, and that they were actually long distance microwave (tropospheric scatter) dishes from the cold war.
Sadly, three of them have been removed and chopped up for scrap. There is still one of them left (well, currently anyway), so I decided on the next clear night, that I'd go out and take some long exposure pictures of it, and also try to do a timelapse.
